Exotic Animal Sanctuary was founded with a commitment to providing ethical, lifelong care for captive‑bred wildlife. We also support species that are often misunderstood or whose needs are not widely recognized. Over time, that commitment grew into a structured mission focused on responsible care, conservation awareness, and long‑term refuge.
Our work is guided by the belief that meaningful impact should be visible in the lives we protect and in the standards we uphold. We focus on animals who benefit from specialized environments, informed handling, and consistent, species‑appropriate support. We strive to make every decision shaped by compassion, sustainability, and respect for the natural instincts of the animals in our care.
The sanctuary currently houses an African serval, African crested porcupines, bobcats, foxes, raccoons, emus, goats, and rabbits. Each animal receives individualized attention, structured enrichment, and a stable environment. The sanctuary continues to evolve as we refine our operational framework, expand our knowledge, and strengthen the systems that support responsible wildlife care.
We maintain the required Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency permitting that allows us to accept captive‑bred native wildlife considered Class II species on the TWRA list. We also care for a wide range of species that do not fall within this category, as reflected in several of our current residents, and we encourage anyone with questions about placement to contact us directly. We also assist with responsible rehoming when intake is not possible.
